BIBLE STUDY – The Great Adventure: A Journey through the Bible is an exciting Catholic Bible Study that teaches people the narrative story of the Bible so they can understand the plan of salvation history. This 24 week Study starts on 9/8 and consists of a DVD presentation by Jeff Cavins as well an opportunity to explore the scripture through a guided discussion period. Unfortunately, there are many families whose children are very much in need of school supplies:  pens, pencils, notebooks, crayons, markers, etc.  We will be collecting these supplies the weekend of August 14/15  in the lower level of our Worship Center.  As you go about buying these supplies for your own children please keep in mind those who truly are in need.  If you don’t want to buy these supplies, would you consider a gift card to Wal-Mart or Target or Meijer?         Need further information?  Contact Sister Karen at the Parish Office.

Religious Education

Any family who has not registered for Religious Education for 2010-2011, please do so as quickly as possible.  There is a $50 registration fee at this time.  Please take the time to fill out your registration form and return to our office. 

Catechist registration is also included in each packet.  We need your help in this area.  Please pray and consider being a catechist for this upcoming year.  It is a wonderful opportunity for you to make a difference in the lives of our children.  If you need more information or have any questions, call the RE office at 416-1992. 

At St. Elizabeth Seton we make every effort to assist you in passing on the faith to the children.  Registrations for 2010-2011 are being accepted.  Please do NOT let financial difficulties keep you from enrolling your children into our program.  No one will be denied Religious Education.  It is so important that all be given the opportunity to be educated in our faith and fully prepared for sacraments.  If your child has missed a year or several years, we will work with you on getting your child caught up.

• Orientation for all 6th Grade Catechists and 7th and 8th Grade In Home Catechists will be on Tuesday, August 31 at 7:30 PM OR Wednesday, Sept 1 at 9:30AM
• There are two training meetings for All EDGE Leaders (7th & 8th Grade Catechists and High School Teens): Monday, August 23 and Monday, August 30 at 6:30 -8:00PM.
• Opening Mass for All Junior High will be on Sunday, September 19 at 6:00 PM.

High School (Grades 9 & 10)

• Opening Mass for Grades 6 – 10 will be on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 6:00pm.
• Training for Catechists new to High School program will be on Wed., Sept. 1 at 7:30pm or Thursday, Sept. 2 at 9:30am. 
• Training for Returning Catechists (10th Grade) will be on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 7:30pm.  All High School trainings in Room 6.
• An important Parent/Student Orientation Meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 7th at 7:30pm in the Worship Center (Church).  A parent is asked to accompany their son/daughter to this meeting.

25th Anniversary Committee
