Returning Families are asked to submit completed registration forms and registration fee to the Religious Education Office (REO) by May 22.

New Families may register anytime, but are encouraged to do so before August 1, if possible, to facilitate timely class placement.

Tuition, sacrament and retreat fees are due at the time of registration.  Checks can be made payable to St. Elizabeth Seton Parish.  You have the option for online payment of tuition and fees through Parish Pay (www.Parishpay.com).  Payment plans, if needed, may be arranged by contacting the REO.  Please feel free to contact Mary Mellens at 630-416-1992.

Join us for a week of fun, prayer and adventure as we slip into spy mode to “train” the children of our Parish at Vacation Bible School (VBS) this year. This year’s teaching will focus on the Heavenly Virtues, related miracles and modern day Saints.

Kindergarten through 5th grade students will journey to five different rooms. Each room will focus on a virtue and will also portray about the miracles of a Holy person that exemplifies this virtue (Jesus/Love, Peter/Faith, Moses/Hope, Joshua/Prudence, and Elijah/Courage). To add to the fun, each room or training ground will represent a different region in the world (tundra, desert, jungle, mountains and underwater/ocean).

R.E. Registration

Registration Forms for Religious Education were due on May 22. Please Contact the RE office at (630) 416-1992 if you have questions regarding registration for your children. We will need more Catechists for classes held in the building next year. If you are being called to this ministry, please contact: Peggy Idstein for grades K-6 or Sheila Stevenson for grades 7-10.

Parish Office Summer Hours

The Parish Center and Religious Education offices will begin their summer hours during the week of May 28. The Parish Center will be open Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M.). On Fridays, hours will be 8:00 a.m. to noon. The Religious Education office will be open Monday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. On Friday, hours will be 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Father’s Day Novena of Masses

We will be celebrating a Novena of Masses (Nine Masses) at St. Elizabeth Seton beginning on Father’s Day to be offered for all the Men, living and deceased who have touched us in some way, and whom we want to remember with a series of Masses. For those who have lost Fathers and Grandfathers, it is especially fitting to remember them in this fashion since we cannot each have a Mass intention on Father’s Day and the week following. Please be thinking of the names you would want included on the altar for those Masses. Envelopes for those names will be in the pews for your intentions. This is the same type of Novena of Masses we did for Mother’s Day. But this time we remember those men both living and deceased. Please be prepared to give us the names of those men from your lives whom you would like remembered.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion – Training

Monday, June 3 – 7:00 p.m.

The training for new Extraordinary Ministers of Communion has been rescheduled for 7 pm on Monday, June 3rd. Ministers must be confirmed Catholics in good standing with the Catholic Church. If you are interested in serving our parish in this way and would like to be considered for this ministry, please contact Celine Swieboda at ces@wideopenwest.com.
