Adult Enrichment is an ongoing process of growth whereby individuals desire to intensify their relationships with God, family, church, and community. It is hoped that through the various programs organized by this committee, God’s revelation and self communication to individuals can be received and responded to in the light of the Gospel message by worship, witness, and service to others.

Cursillo

cursilloroosterThe Cursillo Movement is a movement of the Catholic Church.  The full name, “Cursillo de Christiandad” is a Spanish term meaning, “Short course in Christianity,” making Cursillo different from a retreat, but complementary to one. It is a lay church movement, blessed by Pope John Paul II and encouraged by Bishop J. Peter Sartain. It is made up of three parts, the pre-Cursillo, the Cursillo and the post-Cursillo.

During the three days of the weekend itself, from Thursday evening to Sunday evening, people from various walks of life and from all over the diocese, will have the opportunity to discover a new understanding of Jesus Christ, hear basic Christian truths, and learn a method of forming and sustaining lay leadership by which ordinary people can grow in the love and service of God and others for the rest of their lives.

During the time after the weekend, small groups of people meet on a regular basis to maintain a vibrant Christian Community from which springs forth apostolic action for Christianizing environments, therefore making ours a better world in which to live.

Please visit these sites for all the details of our movement!

Divorce Support Minsitry

SES Divorced Support Ministry

We are in the process of starting a divorced support ministry here at Saint Elizabeth Seton parish.

We plan to offer the “Divorce and Beyond” closed session healing and recovery program as well as resource assistance and other support.

We need a few divorced volunteers to help us in this ministry.

Early on, no regular meetings are planned so the time commitment is expected to be manageable. There is certainly a need for this ministry in our parish. Please pray about it and consider joining us.
Please contact Ray Wyzguski 815-407-1569 raw@laboreg.com.
