Early Childhood
The goals of Early Childhood Religious Education are for the children to grow in their knowledge and experience of God as a loving parent and Jesus as a friend and model. Children will listen to stories from scripture, observe the beauty of God’s love through nature and experience God’s love through their parents and others. They will learn they are part of another family, the Catholic Church.

Discovering God’s World

  • Develop a strong, positive feeling of God’s love for them.
  • Learn how God made them special with many gifts to help others: with feelings, senses, imagination.
  • Understand that special days are given religious significance:  Easter, Christmas, All Saint’s Day, Mother’s and Father’s Day.
  • Develop an appreciation of the celebration of God’s goodness through Scripture,   music and prayer.
  • Learn the Sign of the Cross and Grace Before Meals.
