Children’s Liturgy of the Word

childwithbible

Adult leaders present and discuss a children’s version of the Sunday gospel with youngsters during the Sunday liturgy.

Lay presiders are trained to lead Children’s Liturgy of the Word, in order to facilitate understanding of scripture for kindergarteners through pre-Communion second-graders, during the 10 am Sunday Masses.

The children are dismissed as the rest of the assembly prepares to listen to the Word of God. Children and presiders break open the Word in one of the lower level rooms and return to the assembly sometime after the homily and before the offering of the gifts. Jr. high students and older teens assist the presiders as needed.

How Do I Become Catholic?

RCIA sessions will be beginning 9/6/2012 at 7:30 pm on the lower level.  All are invited to come and see what the Catholic Church is all about.

If you’re interested, please contact Deacon Bart Federici at

630 416-3385 or bartles67@gmail.com

RCIA Sessions Started September 8, 2011

Are you someone who is interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith or do you know someone who is not Catholic, but would like to know more about the Faith? If so, there is a program right here at our parish to explore the beauty of the gift of our Catholic faith. This program is called RCIA (the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). The program consists of presentations on all aspects of our Faith. During all phases of the program there is no commitment; you are free to continue, or not, at your discretion.

Join other adults from a wide variety of faiths as we embark together on this journey which began on September 6th at 7:30 PM. Come and learn the beauty of the faith taught to us directly by Jesus and passed down to us by the apostles and their successors.

If you are interested, please call Deacon Bart at (630) 416-3325 or email him at bartles67@gmail.com with any questions you may have about the RCIA program and what it takes to become a Catholic.
