The mission of the Parish Life Commission is to help create and encourage an environment for the people of St. Elizabeth Seton to build connections to the parish community outside of the traditional worship services. The role of the Commission is to assist in making the Parish a center for each person to share their talents in both social and spiritual activities, while keeping God as their focus.

Welcome & Information Center

Welcome and Information Center:

This center provides information on parish life for parishioners and visitors.  Located here are handouts, forms, references and referrals on the whole range of parish and Catholic life items and issues.  It is located in the upper level narthex and is designed to echo our commitment to be a welcoming and informative parish.

HELP WANTED!!! Welcome Desk Ministry

We thank all the parishioners who have served and continue to serve at the welcome desk over the last year and this ministry is growing. We have received accolades for the way our visitors and our parishioners, have been cordially greeted and taken care of. This is a first impression that is really making a difference.

Our Welcome Desk in the upper Narthex has been a terrific success in providing an immediate source of information across a wide spectrum of needs. As the front line in our effort to welcome all who come, our Welcome Ministry mans the Welcome and Information Desk and each person is trained to provide critical information to parishioners and visitors and to forward questions and inquiries to the proper staff members.

With the fall season almost upon us we are looking to add to our numbers in the welcome ministry. This ministry literally takes 15 minutes before Mass and 15 minutes after Mass on a scheduled basis (you will usually be scheduled two Masses per month), and your service makes a lasting difference. We are looking for a number of additional adult and teen Welcome desk volunteers to provide a true “welcome” to all who stop by for any reason. You don‘t need to know it all. We will train you on where to find information or where to refer a question for an answer. How we handle inquiries of any kind may determine the fist impression and the lasting one a visitor will form about our faith community.

If you like to smile and love meeting people and helping them with a wide range of inquiries (which is needed at every Mass) we will train you and prepare you. You will love it! This is front line Evangelization at work. We need your help in continuing to offer a warm welcome to all.

To serve on this ministry, please call Deacon Andy Cirmo at 630-416-3325 x 772 or email ancirmo@wowway.com
