Parishioners are encouraged to support the SHOP-SES program that provides FREE money for our parish. SHOP-SES stored-value cards are available on a monthly pre-order or walk-up basis. Pre-orders are encouraged to insure that the particular stored-value card you want is available. Walk-ups are only available for the most popular retailers.

WHAT IS SHOP-SES?

SHOP-SES is a stored-value card program in which the parish is able to purchase stored-value cards from over 500 retailers at a discount. By selling the stored-value cards at face value, the parish is able to generate additional funds without costing the parishioners additional money.

Retail stored-value cards can be used as cash at the particular shops. All you need to do is purchase them prior to making your regular purchases.

Pre-orders are encouraged to insure that the stored-value cards you want are available. The list of over 500 retailers is available on this website. (See below)

Place your order by e-mailing your request to SHOP-SES2011@Comcast.net or by dropping it in the Sunday Offertory Collection. You pay for the stored-value cards when you pick them up on the third weekend of the month in the lower level. The Knights of Columbus donate their time to distribute the stored-value cards. If you are unable to pick up your order on the third weekend, your pre-order can be picked up the following week at the parish office during normal office hours.

Capital Development Campaign Pledges

Dear Parishioners,

Last weekend we heard a presentation on the capital development needs of our parish. This week we will be answering, in the form of a pledge or statement of intention, as to how we can help.  This campaign was in the works before I became Pastor here at St. Elizabeth Seton, and when I heard the particulars and learned of the needs, I was totally behind this program. I think it is imperative to recognize that this is your Church, and your Parish facility. In the same way you care for your home as it ages, so you care for the house of God that you gather in weekly to give thanks to the generous God who cares for all of our needs.

This Campaign is asking you to make a commitment to support the needs of these buildings and facilities. It is most important that this ?ask? is coming from parishioners to fellow parishioners. Pastors have the job of ministering to the needs of the people, and part of that is to oversee the fiscal responsibility of the people to meet those needs. Realize that you are making this pledge not to me, but to your fellow parishioners, to do your fair share as you are able at this point. Should circumstances change in your life, you may need to adjust your commitment accordingly. That would be very understandable.

I thank you for taking this responsibility seriously. We want this beautiful Church and Parish to be testimony to the faith of this community. I thank you for your generosity not only financially speaking but in time and talent as well. It takes every one of you to make this work, and to show our pride of who we are as a Parish Community of Faith.

God Bless You,

Fr. Dick Smith

Pastor

Prayer for the Capital Campaign

Heavenly Father, look upon our community of faith which is the Church of your Son, Jesus Christ.

Guide us as we seek to renovate our House of worship and parish facilities.

Bless us with generous hearts as we welcome, nourish, and empower a renewed vision in your midst.

Send your spirit to dwell with us as we ask the guidance of St. Elizabeth Seton and our Lady of Good Success

Amen

Capital Campaign ’11

CELEBRATING OUR PAST …

       BUILDING OUR FUTURE  …

The inspiration for the Capital Development Campaign logo came from the wonderful, organic, and gospel-based imagery on our altar and ambo. The wood carvings represent the seed sown on good soil. It was a natural transition to use growth imagery in the logo.

Our past is depicted by the deep and flourishing roots.

Our future is represented by the healthy growth both physical and spiritual. Together it is a fitting image to reflect the dedication and commitment parishioners have had in the twenty-five years of St. Elizabeth Seton.
