A greeter is someone who can reach out to others with ease, have a presence of warmth and truly care about the assembly being at home in the worship space. Greeters are called to the task of hospitality as the assembly gathers for worship, especially reaching out to newcomers. They maintain comfort and order, tending to those who need special attention. Training is provided.

Greeter Ministry

These ministers of hospitality perform an essential role at Eucharistic celebrations on weekends, holy days and special occasions. They are responsible for greeting worshippers as they arrive for Mass and giving each person a worship aid (or songsheet), passing the collection baskets, inviting people to bring the gifts to the altar as part of the offertory procession, distributing bulletins to worshippers as they leave Mass and being available to provide assistance to people during Mass.

Greeters are scheduled for their preferred Mass time.
